Say Cheese
The Pickle and I spent yesterday morning professionally documenting his existence. We got his picture taken. A new shop opened up in the neighborhood and they offered a deal that sounded pretty good to me. $9.95 for more pictures than we need. Of course this is to get you in and get some shots that you are emotionally attached to and then MUST ALSO have. Knowing that the Pickle can be shy around new people and places I tried to get there a little early to give him some time to check the place out. We were the second customers ever, and were taken right in. Well, he was as clingy and non cooperative. All the photographers in the place were trying to get him to smile. I tried to explain that he was a little leery of men but it just didn't get through to them that he was not going to smile for the guy trying to get him to smile. Also, he is not into loud sounds, clapping is not going to work. He couldn't care less about funny noises. He's just a mellow kid. Finally I got in front of him and did the old "give me 5... OWWW!" trick that he learned this weekend. That started getting him warmed up. We got some cute pictures... of course I did order an extra sitting than just one! Once they showed him the toy trucks there was no way that they were going to get another picture with out them. They turned out cute.

Hey Katie!
Thanks so much for linking to me. I'm going to put you on my list as well.
We passed through Columbus on our summer vacation this year and had a great time in your city.
I know what you mean about the portrait studios. They know just how to suck you in, don't they?
